TERRFIC PERFORMANCES FOR GSC SWIMMERS AT THE CLAREMORRIS L3 QUALIFIER
The second leg of the dual Athlone/Claremorris short course swim festival was held on Sunday 24thMarch in Claremorris & proved to be an excellent competition for the travelling GSC swimmers with PB’s & podium performances aplenty.
Leading the performances GOLD podium places swims were achieved by Michael Hussey (U13/800 Freestyle), Katie Waters (U15/200 Fly,200IM & 100 Backstroke), Sophie Sultanov (U15/100 Breaststroke), Laura Geraghty (U11/50 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle, 200IM &100 Backstroke ), Cillian McCullagh (U13/200 Freestyle & 400IM), Ciara Davitt (U13/100 Backstroke),
SILVER podiums places were achieved by Maria NicDhonnacha (U15/800 Freestyle), Gillian Murphy (U13/100 Breaststroke & 400IM), Katie Waters (U15/200 Freestyle), Kaelan Geng (U15/100 Backstroke), Kassie Patten (U13/50 Freestyle), Ciara Davitt (U13/200IM)
BRONZE podiums places were achieved by Aoife Sweeney (U15/800 Freestyle), Laura Geraghty (U11/100 Breaststroke,), Katie Waters (U15/100 Breaststroke), Kaelan Geng (U15/100 Breaststroke), William McDonnell (U15/50 & 100 Backstroke), Ciara Davitt (U13/50 & 200 Freestyle), Maria NicDhonnacha (U15/200 Freestyle & 100 Backstroke), Louisa Hussey (U11/100 Backstroke & 200IM), Kassie Rather (U13/100 Backstroke).
Super PB performances were achieved by Rosie Doorly, Izzy Farrell, John Gibbs, Tom Healy & Zainab Rather.GSC would like to congratulate all the swimmers for their fantastic swimming on the day & GSC would also like to extend sincere thanks to GSC Team Manager, Rick Geraghty & Sylvia Farrell & Coach Brian D for their marvellous support work to the team on a very positive day of competing.
