PB fest at the Athlone A grade meet!
At the recent Athlone A grade 100’s on Sunday 22nd April, Galway SC swimmers had an excellent PB fest at the meet, achieving 83 PB’s from 104 swims & also placing 14 times on the top 3 podium.
In the first event of the meet the 100Butterfly, there were 1st place finishes for Lauren Walsh & Tim Keogh in the U11 age-group, a 2nd place for Joseph Doorly (U11) & a 3rd place finish for Shauna Arthur (U15).
In the second event of the meet the 100 Backstroke, there were 1st finishes for Niamh Melody (U13), 3rd place finishes for Sophie Moran (U11), Joseph Doorly (U11) & Kate Kavanagh (U15).
In the 100 Breaststroke, Sinead Walsh placed 1st in the U11 girls, Kristiana Hristeva was 3rd in the 16 & Over category & Tim Keogh finished 2nd in the U11 boys category.
In the final event of the meet the 100 Freestyle, Alex McFarland finished 1st in the U13 girls & Kate Kavanagh finished 3rd in the U15 girls categories & in the U11 boys, Joseph Doorly finished in 3rd place.
