Meet Report: Tuam B/C Gala on 17th November…
GSC’s younger swimmers had the chance to shine at the Tuam B/C Gala, held in the Kingfisher, Tuam with a very successful meet for the club.
GSC’s junior swimmers made 9 A times with 18 B times and 7 younger members making their first C time…
A fantastic 39 PB’s were recorded in a suberb gala, with great performances on the night from Emma Kennelly (50 Fly, 100 free, U11), Liam Kilkenny (50 fly, U11), Anna O’Donoghue (100 fly, 200 IM, U13), Keela Mulhall (100 IM, 100 free, U11), Zak Rather (100 free, U11) and Allanah Blacoe (100 free, U11) who all achieved A times on the night.
In the B grade category, there were fantastic swims and podium place finishes from Ben O’Sullivan (200 IM, U13), Rory Melody (100 IM, U11), Dave Doorly (100 IM, U11), Cillian Walsh (100 free, U13) and Nell Mahdi, (200 IM, U13).
The C winners making the grade at the meet were Grace Kavanagh and Ailbhe Mulhall (50 fly, U11),
Cillian Jordan (100 IM, 100 free U11), Cillian Walsh 200 IM, U13), Alison Walsh (100 free, U11) and Ben O’Sullivan (100 free, U13)
This brought to an end a superb evening of racing and GSC would like to extend sincere thanks to the team managers of Sara Kennelly and Owen Doorly and the team coaches Gwen Ryan, Niav Ryan and John Keogh for their excellent work and support on the night.
