Galway Squad performs in Norwich
Galway SC swimmers excel for Connacht & Ireland on International duty!
Six Galway SC swimmers represented Connacht & Ireland over the Easter weekend at the exciting & challenging, City of Norwich long course Open meet at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
Kate Finn, Alex McFarland, Bryan O’Sullivan, Andrew Moore, Kate Kavanagh & Niamh Melody were part of a team of 25 swimmers from the Connacht Swim Squad who had the opportunity to represent the Connacht region at the Norwich meet which was as part of the Connacht Swim Squad’s training & competition program in 2011-2012 & gave all the competing swimmers an opportunity to compete overseas & get some valuable racing experience that would hopefully will stand the swimmers in good stead in their search for qualifications times for the British Age & Youth championships that are to be held in July.
The six GSC swimmers certainly enjoyed their first competition experience overseas & performed admirally over the 3 days of competing in Norwich.
